Astragalus

Did you know that if you have troubles with your health constantly,
you might want to try using a supplement called Astragalus.

This is a traditional Chinese herb and is used mainly to increase
the body's ability to fight infection and heal better...
basically, an immune function enhancer.

Give it a try I think you might be favorably impressed with it's abilities.

Stay healthy and happy !!!

Hair and Skin Health

Vitamin B helps prevent shedding, slow growth and weak hair.
Vitamin C deficiencies can lead to dry, splitting hair.
Make sure to get enough Biotin and Silica in your supplements
and vitamin C as well.

Vitamin C and E are a must to safeguard the skin from sun damage
and delay aging by protecting skin elasticity. And Zinc helps maintain
the collagen that keeps skin firm; it's also involved in skin renewal.

Have a safe, healthy Summer.

Leukemia and EGCG.....Did you know?

If you or a loved one has leukemia, here is something that is fairly simple to add
into your daily diet or routine. The compound called EGCG is a part of green tea. Try doses of between 400 Mg. and 2000 Mg. twice per day. They have found that this seems particularly effective, according to the Mayo Clinic. Best of luck with your trials!

Three sheets to the wind? NOT!

Did you know that in addition to the claims made
for the health giving benefits of wine that it can
also be important in the prevention of esophgeal
cancer too! (In moderation, that is!) I don't expect
to see you out with three sheets to the wind and
using this as an excuse!!!

What does your mouth have to do with your heart?

Did you know that if you are prone to cardiovascular disease it may not be high cholesterol that's the cause. You need to take good care of your teeth and gums otherwise you open yourself up to infections and such. So if you take good care of your mouth you are helping to keep your heart pumping for years to come!
Stay healthy!

Calcium and Vitamin D versus Cancer

Are you afraid of the possibility of getting cancer ?
The odds will be much less if you just make sure to get enough
vitamin D and Calcium in your diet. Vitamin D seems to be very
important in keeping the cells "sticky". This means they can
communicate with each other and work together to fight the
cancer cells which have free rein to take over and "bust you up"
because the cells have no "team" members that way !
Good luck and good health to you all !

Tummy Troubles?

If you regularly have an ache in the tummy after you eat it may be more than just
acid indigestion. It might be that you have something like an inability to digest
gluten products.

You might want to try an experiment by eliminating the gluten based foods from the diet for a time and see if it does help .

You need to discontinue wheat, including durum, semolina, spelt, kamut, einkorn and faro, barley, rye, contaminated oats and a lot of other products including lipstick,
soy sauce and some pharmaceuticals.

Check with your Dr. to see if this would be an appropriate choice for you.

Good luck digesting !

High Blood Pressure

If you have High Blood Pressure there are alternatives
to taking prescription meds. You could try a product
called CO Q 10 at the level of about 200mg daily and
also I recommend a fish oil supplement that is basically
Omega 3 fatty acids. The Co Q 10 will thin the blood and
the fish oil is to protect against inflammation for over all
cardio vascular health (heart & lungs). In addition it will
also help with mobility in the joints (lubrication) as well
as helping to keep internal eye pressure where it should
be for healthy sight ! One more benefit too that being it
will keep the brain active and more functional as well.
The DHA portion of the Omega 3's if the main factor there.

Gonna give this blog thing a whirl.

Well, I'm new to this. Sort of tried MySpace, but, so far, I like this format much better.

Some very good friends of mine have a travel blog on Blogger, so I thought that I would try it too, especially since I am planning to start travelling in an RV myself with my dogs and a motorcycle as soon as I retire in the not too distant future. I'm currently looking at fifth-wheel toy-haulers and diesel trucks, but haven't bought them yet.

I might also try selling some of the health supplements that I believe in as soon as I get the hang of this website.

So...this blog will contain a lot of my answers to health related questions that I am often asked, along with the trials and tribulations of my search for the RV and truck that are just right for me, my eventual retirement and then hitting the road.

Well, here goes!!! Wish me luck!
